Safe Storage for Medication
Every year many children are treated due to accidental medication exposure or overdose. Most of these cases were because a child got into medications while unattended. The best way to prevent this is to keep medications locked away out of sight.
Never leave any medication laying out.
Always keep medication locked away from reach of any children
If you have visitors that may have a pill box (such as visiting grandmother) in their purse ask them to put it on a shelf or out of sight of any children.
Even between dosing remember to lock away medications even if it may be handy to keep them on a countertop or in your purse.
Many medications may look or taste like candy. Make sure to have child-resistant bottles and/or packaging.
Keep the number for poison control where you can find it. Put it on the fridge or even program into your cell phone.
