Tire Safety Tips
Your life rides on your tires every time you get in your vehicle
Check and adjust your tire pressure at least once a month. Underinflated tires can cause a tire to fail. It can affect the way a vehicle handles and the safety of your vehicle. Overloading a tire can also cause it to fail.
Check tires for signs of damage or abnormal wear. Make sure you check before you go on a long trip or at least once a month. Keep an eye out for cracks or bubbles, nails, screws, glass, or any abnormal tread wear.
Use your owner’s manual to tell you when to rotate your tires or rotate at least every 6000 miles.
Make sure your tires are properly balanced. Out of balanced tires can cause un-even tread and a bumpy ride. Tires should be balance whenever they are replaced or remounted.
If something does happen to one of your tires such as a puncture that cant properly be patches or there are problems with the sidewall or tread make sure to replace the tire.
