After discovering fire and burn hazards, the CPSC has recalled Honda’s portable generators. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products.
American Honda Motor Co. Inc. is expected to have distributed about 150,600 units that could be potentially defective. The fuel hose on these generator’s can leak, posing fire and burn hazards. Injuries have yet to be reported from the generators. Consumers are advised to contact the nearest Honda Power Equipment dealer for an inspection and repair.
If you have a portable generator made by Honda in your home, it’s important to take this recall seriously and discontinue use until inspected by a professional.
Burn injuries occur most at home, but are also common at work or when involved in a car wreck. These injures often require an attorney experienced in handling the rules of fire safety. To read five tips on how to prevent burn injuries, click here.
